The kangaroo is synonymous with Australia. Millions inhabit this wide brown land, from the arid interior to bushland, parks and other open spaces fringing our cities. With a superb new artistic impression each year, the Australian Kangaroo Gold Bullion Coin Series celebrates Australia’s most famous marsupial.

DESIGN:

The coin portrays a large kangaroo about to jump over a parched creek bed. The exceptional art includes a windmill and water storage tank, vital infrastructure on rural properties across the country. As well as coin’s weight and fineness, the design includes a ‘P125’ mintmark, signifying The Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary.

The coin’s obverse depicts the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, and the monetary denomination.

AUTHENTICATION FEATURE:

The coin incorporates an authentication feature on the reverse. In the form of a micro-laser engraved letter, it is only detectable under a magnifying glass.
